This is one of Dolmio's 'stir-in' range of Pasta Sauces, which are absolutely perfect for a creating a tasty meal on the cheap without the slightest bit of hassle. I'm pretty damn useless in the kitchen it has to be said (although I do make a mean chilli and my spaghetti bolognese rocks big time) so when forced to actually 'cook' for myself I tend to turn to something like this or reach for my beloved microwave. At the moment, I'm tending to turn to these tubs more often because they are rather cheaper and more tasty than microwave trash. As you'd expect, the main taste is a strong tomato base with a peppery kick to proceedings. The sauce is relatively thick, but it does come in a small pot so expect it to be concentrated. Once stirred in fully to a bowl of pasta then it breaks down and the overpowering taste you'll get from the sauce when you open the foil-sealed lid dissipates to ... Read the complete review

The 'phone went .... "I'll be home in 5 minutes darling...oh, and you haven't forgotten we're feeding the 6 of them tonight have you?" Approx 10 mins til arrival of v important work contacts and nowt to offer. Takeaway would have been the answer but our nearest being 10 mins away I was bound to be caught sneaking up the drive with numerous foil containers..... Enter: Dolmio Stir-in Sauce ...
