Advantages: tasty for snacks
Disadvantages: calories
I always like to have a nice chocolate biscuit bar in the house for when visitors or grandchildren come to visit, so that we can have a cuppa and a natter or just for a treat6 for the kids and everytime I go shopping I like to buy a packet of chocolate biscuit bars.
This week when I went to the supermarket I spotted these Nestle Drifter Bars, I bought a packet of nine single bars for 99p, which I thought was a reasonable price to pay.
The packet is an attractive metalic foil blue and each bar inside is individually wrapper to keep the bars fresh for when you want a nibble.
They are 130 calories per bar so if your dieting I'd steer clear of these as they are very morish and the temptation to have just one more is always an option. When you open the foil wrapper you can smell the lovely milk chocolate and the bar is about five inches long and smothered in thick milk chocolate.
When you bite into the bar you can immediately taste the really chewy toffe caramel inside. This is on top of a crispy wafer which is smooth and melts into your mouth as you chew. These are very chewy bars and satisfy any chocolate cravings you might be having.
I like the chewy chocolate bars more than other chocolate bisuicts as they are bigger and tastier, not to mention you feel that you have had a the satisfaction of eating something both tasty and naughty at the same time.
Value for money wise I think 99p is a small price to pay to see the look of happiness on the grandchildrens faces when you get the bisuits out after all biscuits like custard creams just don't cut the ice with them.
These are great for snacks in your lunch box when your working as they give you the energy you might need if you are looking for a boost during the day.
They can be taken to school by the kids and even put out on the table if your having a party, but with the high calorie count in them they do tend to make the kids more hyper than plain biscuits, so make sure you have games or a garden for them to run around in after you have given them one.
Nestle is a well known brand name and all their products are a quality brand. There is a comsumer service if you need to contact them for questions or if your not satisfied with the product.

- 02/10/05 Nestlé are the UK's least ethical company, you know. They're baby killers. |
