Advantages: crunch
Disadvantages: sugar and fat
This is an odd little product; take the ridiculously popular cadbury's chocolate fingers, and then make the biscuit crunchier, and hey presto: here's your new product!
Chocolate fingers area firm favourite in our house. First up, the cadbury's chocolate is so tasty. it's creamy, but not sickly, and sweet, but not over the top. I have to say that it's the best chocolate out there.
The biscuit is pretty plain tasting, but is just there to give the texture and crunch to the whole thing. The biscuit is extra crunchy, and it is noticeably different. I don't know how they did it, but it's crunchy like never before, which gives a very satisfying sound and feel in the mouth as you eat.
The only down-side is that you have to hold the chocolate outer to eat them, which inevitably means the thin outer layer melts onto your fingers. This is a real pain by the time you've eaten a few, and is something they can surely come up with some solution about.
All in all, these are noticeably better than the original, because they have such a satisfying crunch. Like all Cadbury's products they're full of sugar and fat and should only be eaten in moderation. They go lovely in a brew as the hot drink melts the chocolate.
At around £1 a box, they're a great addition to any cupboard. The only comparison I have seen is the Spar's own ones which you get about twice as many for £1, but they don't have the same crunch, and the chocolate isn't as nice either.
Summary: do it
