Advantages: Nice minty, trustworthy chewing gum

Disadvantages: Nothing special

I thought these were a bit of a disappointment and basically just tasted like Extra so nothing new. I had seen the adverts on TV which I quite liked as I thought their slogan 'sorry it took us so long' was quite funny and I enjoyed the fact they were poking fun at themselves. Then I was in a garage the other day and they seemed to be having some kind of promotion for them (I think it was 2 packs for 70p) so thought I'd give them a whirl.

The size and shape of the packaging is just like Wrigleys Extra but with the Trebor branding on it obviously! There are 10 pellet-shaped gums in the pack and you can choose either Peppermint or Spearmint. They are also sugarfree with sweeteners added.

I do like Trebor Extra Strong mints and thought this chewing gum may have a nice kick to them like the mints do. Actually, they taste just like Extra - nice and minty and I have nothing against them, but nothing special or new. After you've chewed them for a few seconds you do get a slight taste of the Trebor extra strong mint flavouring but it's quite subtle. The taste lasts a decent amount of time - maybe about 15 minutes, and your mouth is left feeling nice and fresh and a bit tingly afterwards.

All in all, what can I say - they are nice minty chewing gum but nothing new and I expected more from Trebor, especially after their big advertising campaign.

Summary: A pretty standard chewing gum but nothing special
