Today at work someone brought in a packet of these chocolate flavour cup cakes and although I tried to resist them, I ended up giving in after lunchtime and trying one. I have to admit it was quite tasty, to the point that I decided to "try" another one, just for the purposes of research, you understand. Now, I'm going to digress just a bit here and talk about cupcakes in general so that I can compare my experience of cupcakes with these particular cakes. I have always been a huge fan of cupcakes as it's lovely to have a tiny little cake all to yourself instead of a slice which for some reason doesn't seem as special. I've eaten hundreds of ... I have never been a huge fan of chocolate cake so when my mum brought home a 6 pack of the Fabulous Bakin' Boys chocolate cupcakes from Tesco the other day I wasn't too fussed to try them! However once they had been opened and I saw them in all their glory, I was tempted and so I sampled! They come sold in a box of 6 like I said and this is the only size of box available. They can be found in all supermarkets including Tesco, Asda and Morrisons! They are found in the cake aisle alongside the other cupcake products. In our local Tesco they were sat up next to the other Bakin' Boys products. The box of 6 costs roughly the same in all supermarkets however ... Read the complete review

We were paying a long overdue visit to my mother in law a couple of weeks ago. My son absolutely adores his Granny and needless to say she spoils him or should that be ruins him with lots and lots of E numbers and other items which for the most part are not readily available in our house. I have to say that I am also partial to the odd treat or two so when granny produced a box of particularly delicious looking cakes all my self-restraint went out of the window and I decided to indulge myself. This particular product was one which I had bypassed on several occasions in the supermarket due to thinking that I would eat them all in one go. I can never work out why I just ... I see my Gran and Granddad every week as they live next door to my Mum and Dad, and they always have some delicious treat for my two boys whom they adore. This weeks visit saw them producing a box of these scrumptious looking cupcakes. So what are they?~ They are 6 mouth watering, individually wrapped, chocolate cupcakes encased in a thin blue cardboard box. They are a moist, vanilla sponge with quite a thick, hard chocolate topping (my favourite part!), and contain no artificial colours or flavours. What they contain~ Each cupcake contains: 10g of sugar 7g of fat ... Read the complete review

"Cake? Everybody likes cake!" Those famous lines spoken by Donkey in the Shrek movie. Though I do disagree- I am not a huge lover of cake! Though I will admit; I do not rule it out entirely! When I get a craving for cake, I usually go for a Mr Kipling option or WeightWatchers. Though I was in Tesco the other week and realised they had a sale on - buy two packs of cakes for the price of one! This includied the bakin' boys cakes, which I had not tried before. I thought this was the perfect change to give them a try. I ummed and ahhed between the chocolate and the lemon options, and in the end settled on the six pack of chocolate ...
