After having the chance to try the chocolate cup cakes from Bakin' Boys, I decided I would give the lemon options a try. I am not a massive fan of lemon, but I do like it now and again so I was not sure about how I was going to react to these. The Bakin' Boys six pack of lemon cup cakes can be recognised by their yellow and blue box. There is a little window in the corner so you can see part of a cupcake. It looked to be a pale shade of lemon. The box of cup cakes cost me £1.20 from Tesco, which was a good deal. They did have apack of four King sized ones on a 2 for 1 deal but I decided to give this a miss. I took the cakes home and sat myself down, ...  Read the complete review

Me and my daughter were in Tesco recently buying food for my granddaughters 12th birthday party when I noticed they had The Fabulous Baking Boys Cupcakes on BOGOF so I bought a pack of lemon and a pack of the chocolate cupcakes. I've eaten their muffins before and enjoyed them so I thought these would be good. These lemon ones are delicious. They are quite a small cake which makes them ideal for parties and I love the way they are individually wrapped inside the box because it not only keeps them fresher for longer, but they looked great arranged on a plate at the party. You get six cakes in each box and they look absolutely lovely because the icing is such ...  Read the complete review

This product may have cheanged a bit since the Dooyoo title was posted as the box of these I bought the other day only contained four cup cakes however they were quite large cakes so maybe this size replaced the box of six. This is not a purchase that I wil be repeating as these tasted rather synthetic and left a bit of an after taste, give me a nice bit of lemon drizzle cake any day of the week. A box of four will cost you £1.69 so they are not exactly cheap and you do seem to be paying for a bit of branding as the whole packaging and product name has an American feel to it. A couple of days ago I reviewed the Bakin Boys Chocolate Cup Cakes and as I explained at the time currently at Tesco they have a special offer of a BOGOF on these so the second pack I bought was this lemon flavour cup cakes so that I got to try both varieties. One thing I should point out is the fact that currently they only have four in a box instead of the six that Dooyoo have set up on the product suggestion. A box of four will cost you £1.69 however with the BOGOF this is now half price which to be honest is about the right price as I would not buy these at full price. The cakes themselves are quite small and within the box they are in individual clear ...  Read the complete review
