The Fabulous Fudge Factory are a small, award-winning company who make fudge and coconut ice that is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

This is a review of their very yummy coconut ice!

It can be bought online or from health food shops like Holland and Barrett and occasionally supermarkets and sweets shops have it too. The price usually ranges between £3 and £4 so it's not cheap but it's definitely worth it. It's one of life's little luxuries!

It's dairy-free and doesn't contain any cochineal food colouring like some coconut ices which is why it's suitable for veggies, vegans and those who are lactose intolerant.

When you open the bag you can smell the coconut ice but it's not over-powering. It's cut into blocks, the shape you'd expect fudge to be. They are fairly solid with a bit of crumbling at the edges.

Now for the taste! As with all coconut ice, it's very sweet and it has the right balance of chewy-ness and crumbliness. It can be a bit sickly so only those with an extremely sweet tooth would be able to finish a whole bag in one go. It has a slightly different taste to the normal coconut ice as raspberry flavouring is used in the recipe. I'm not sure if I can really taste them but it's certainly a different taste experience to the usual stuff.

Each bag contains 200g which is enough to share or for one person to nibble on over a few days. You seem to get about 10-15 pieces in each bag.

I really love this stuff and I have to resist the urge to buy a bag every time I visit Holland & Barrett!
