Advantages: look great
Disadvantages: not that nice really
Ferrero rocher are those little self wrapped expensive chocolate that you usually see when you go to a dinner party or somewhere where they are all built up into big pyramids, and then no one dares to take one off and eat them so they all stay there.
They are basically hazel nuts coated in layers of a kind of wafer, hazelnut cream and bobbly nut chocolate coating as well. So in essence they are pretty much a hazel, or nut lovers dream. I am not a nut lover in fact I hate nuts, but hazel nuts for me don't taste too bad, and in fact I find that when they are eaten with chocolate I cant taste the nut at all, but just feel a nice crunchy texture with my chocolate.
They are very expensive though and are way too over priced, they are usually a couple of pounds for a box of about 8 so if your getting a lot of these they are going to cost you a fortune.
However they do look very posh and they are good to have out if your doing a dinner party as an after course sweet. They are individually wrapped in a kind of golden wrapper with an individual ferrero rocher sticker on each one so each one seems special.
I don't really tend to buy these for myself, however I have been bought them as presents and I have eaten them at many partys or dinners I go to, I don't mind the taste of them, but there not all that great and the hype is mainly in how well presented they are rather than how they actually taste.
Summary: mostly hype,
