Advantages: Tasty and a heathier choice
Disadvantages: none
Yeah you know the rest of the lyrics but do you know about Flippo Berio Extra Virgin olive oil .... Well if you don't let me enlighten you.... This Italian extra olive oil is high quality oil derived from olives ( bet you never guessed that one ). It is cold pressed and 100% natural and has a fantastic aroma .The extra vigin name is used as this is the best quality olive oil derived from the first press of ripe olives . Thus this gives it a mild yet fruity taste . Using this oil in moderation is a healthy alternate to shallow fry eggs , onions and what ever else may take your fancy . It also adds flavour to foods . Add it when cooking pasta to prevent it from sticking and to add flavour . Olive oil also contains high quantaties of monosaturates ans low quanties of saturates and conatins no cholesterol . A plus for those on low fat and cholesterol diets. Unlike other oils a little goes a long way with olive oil , it's not cheap either .. less is more . The glass bottle look better (chic) than the plasic ones for other oils . The lid ( metal ) houses a dripless spout , so you don't get greasy oil residues down the outside of the bottle . Olive oil is fine for savoury cooking , great for adding to pasta sauces , for making pesto and salad dressings , but I wouldn't advise you to cook your pancakes in it!!! The bottles come in 2 sizes to my knowledge , 250ml ( not sure of the other , I'll check these + the prices when I'm next in town )
