Easy peesy and very cheesy! (Findus Macaroni Cheese)

As I have just had this for my Sunday night tea I thought I would review it.

I love pasta (carbohydrate queen!) and I like cheese so this dish is perfect for me, its also great as I am not a big fan of cooking, I like ready meals (yes I am lazy and this has been mentioned in some of my other reviews) and as you can have this ready in less than ten minutes its a very quick meal to have if your in a hurry.

I buy my Findus Macaroni Cheese from Iceland as they sell 2 400g boxes for £2 in a double pack so £1 per meal and its the right size for a main meal, its a bit too much for a snack or lunch though I feel, and as there is two my boyfriend normally has the other one or I can have it another night.

The dish is very easy to cook, you can either cook it in the oven for 50 minutes at 190c or blast it in the microwave for 9 minutes which is my preferred way to cook it.

I have never tried to cook it in the oven as impatience is another of my traits.

The Macaroni is made with fresh pasta and Mozzarella and Chedder cheese sauce and is topped with Red Leicester.

Each 400g pack contains 420 calories, 65g of carbohydrate, 8.5g of fat, 2g of fibre and 1g of sodium so its not ideal for eating that often, I tend to it once every couple of weeks.

The meal itself is very satisfying and fills me up nicely without making me feel bloated ill, I do seem to get heartburn after eating it though which I always forget about until I am cooking it!

I do find that the Red Leicester topping doesn't melt brilliantly in the microwave, there is still a light crumbling left, I think the topping would work out better if oven cooked.

If you were cooking this for a child half of a 400g box would be more than enough for a main meal.
