Advantages: Taste, texture

Disadvantages: Break too easily

I wouldn't ever buy these myself you understand (!!), but they were on offer in Somerfield and one of the guys bought us 4 packets to cheer us all up after finding out there are likely to be cuts in the company.

2 packets were these Chocolate Fudge Crunch Creams, and 2 were the Ginger variety that are identical in size and shape.

Each biscuit is a lovely light brown colour, and consists of two halves sandwiched together by a light chocolate cream (like a custard cream filling) with tiny fudge pieces in.

The outside layers of the biscuit have a lovely cracked appearance, and are nice and crunchy with a light chocolate flavouring.

I have to say that these have been very popular in the office and there has been a lot of rustling and lots of comments made about how nice they are. The chocolate ones are also far more popular than the ginger (there's only half a packet left of the chocolate and they were bought yesterday, compared to 1 3/4 left of the ginger).

If you're one of those people that likes to separate the layers and eat them separately, you might be slightly disappointed as the outer layers don't have much flavour alone. However, biting into a lovely triple layer of hard crunchy biscuit, soft chocolate fudge cream centre, and then biscuit again, is lovely. The taste and texture are both spot on.

These are a lovely luxury looking, tasting and feeling biscuit but is actually very cheap (though the packets aren't massive and the biscuits are nowhere near as big as digestives, but a touch bigger than what round custard creams would be).

The nearest comparable biscuit would be a Bourbon really, but that's an insult in my opinion as these are far superior. I hate Bourbons and these are much more fudge and milk chocolate orientated, and much more luxurious in terms of texture and taste.

The only disadvantage apart from the unhealthiness is that they tend to break very easily in the packet, which means a lot of crumbs and missing layers etc.

Summary: A great treat for hot drink dunking
