... Tesco. As you can guess by the name these are a sandwich biscuit. There are 2 biscuits made with real dairy butter with a real chocolate filling. Usually I am not a fan of sandwich biscuits but because of the real chocolate and dairy butter I thought I would give them a go. Opening the packet you can see that the biscuits are housed in a plastic tray with 2 biscuits in each compartment. The biscuits are rectangular in shape, around 3 inches long and 1 inch wide. They look very appetising, the biscuits have a bumpy...more

We quite often have a packet of these in the cupboard, however they dont tend to last very long! These biscuits are made by Fox's and are found in the biscuit aisle in the supermarket. They are available in 2 varieties: Chocolate Viennese Sandwich and Double Chocolate Viennese Sandwich. This review is on the regular Chocolate Viennese Sandwich as shown in the picture above. The packaging is slightly different to that above and is light brown in colour with a large Fox's melt logo and a good sized picture of the product. These biscuits come in packs of 10 which weighs 150g. They retail at around £1.30 but can often be found for £1 in Tesco. As you can ...  Read the complete review

I tend to eat chocolate bars and sweets rather than biscuits but my eating habits changed when a friend gave me a Fox's 'Viennese' biscuit recently. At first sight the biscuits didn't look all that interesting to me; they reminded me of the Bourbon biscuits I used to eat as a child - two brown shortbread strips with a waxy cream in the middle of them. After one taste, however, I understood that these were a class above any other shortbread biscuit and much improved on the bland biscuity snacks I used to eat when I was young. These biscuits have since become a firm favourite. The biscuits are available in two varieties: Chocolate and Double Chocolate. I am ...  Read the complete review

I picked up a packet of these for Christmas because I was tempted by the pictures on the packet and the 38p discount :P I must admit that they went down well with everyone in the house, in fact, the packet seem to have vanished before I got seconds. Fox's Biscuits were originally founded in 1853, though only took on that name in 1960. Since then they've become part of Northern Foods Plc, one of the leading food manufacturers, and have expanded their product range. They're a very popular brand, though perhaps come second to McVities, and are readily available in supermarkets and convenience stores. Recent ad campaigns have brought them more popularity with ...  Read the complete review

Strolling through my local Co-Op today I decided to buy a packet of biscuits to have a naughty munch on, I do that occasionally to cheer myself up. I couldn't decide on whether to have digestives or something with a bit of chocolate in when my eyes were drawn to the beige and purple packets of Fox's Melts, I haven't had a packet of these for ages and to my delight they were on offer buy one get one free. Decision made on the strength of that offer I toddled off home to put the kettle on, I always have to have a cuppa when I indulge in a biscuit purely because I am a 'dunker.' On opening the packet I gently pulled the plastic tray out and ...  Read the complete review

Introduction ========= I prefer biscuits and cake to chocolate bars probably because whenever I eat chocolate I end up with toothache. Anyway on my usual Saturday morning trip to my local Co-op I noticed that Fox’s Chocolate Viennese biscuits were on offer, best of all they were on BOGOF (Buy one get one free) who can resist? At 99p for two packs certainly not me. The Product ========= Don’t worry I’m not going to go into too much detail about the packaging. However there was a couple of things that made me laugh, one the picture of the biscuit looked huge but on the reserve of the pack it does state that the picture is not ...  Read the complete review
