When in Poundland I always go and look at the foodie aisle because they always have lots of items and lots of bargains. Previously I bought Fox's Classic bars in the blue packaging and was very impressed by them so I saw these and thought well they sound good so in the basket they went. I should also mention that they currently have a 100% extra free promotion so instead of 8 bars in a pack, you get 16 which is always nice and makes the £1 price tag even better. I imagine as with most things sold at Poundland these would be a little more expensive were you to buy them at the supermarket. The packaging is dark brown with the disctinctive Fox's bars ... I am generally a great fan of Fox's biscuits. I am particularly partial to a crunch cream and have recently discovered the butter crinkle. I am often on the lookout for biscuit bars to take to work and usually vary between Clubs, Penguins and Rocky's (Fox's again!). When I spotted these Fox's Cookie Bars I thought they would make a decent change from the norm. The pack cost 79p from Morrison's and contained 8 individually wrapped bars. The main pack as well as the individual wrappers are a goldy brown colour and feature the traditional Fox's logo. The words 'cookie bars' is however written in a strange childlike font. Ingredients and nutritional information is ... Read the complete review

I often like to try something new and especially when it's on offer for a bargain price! I got a pack of ten of these from Tesco for £1 which I thought was good going for a brand name like Fox's. I really like most of their biscuit bars so I thought I'd got a real find with these. Sadly these aren't up to the same standard that the other favourites are. The cookie bars are very dry and crumbly, more like shortbread than cookies. There are plenty of chocolate chips in them at least, the packaging says 11%, so even though it isn't the nicest biscuit in the world, at least you can taste some of the chocolate. The texture of these is what really ... Read the complete review

I tried these when they were on sale in Tesco for 79p for 8 and to be honest I don't think I would buy them again. I expected the cookie bar to be like the cookie bar on the packaging but it wasn't. I assumed by looking at the packaging that the cookie would have the consistency of say a Millies Cookie but just squashed into bar form. The picture shows the biscuit to be crumbly and soft but in actual fact the cookie is the complete opposite. Basically the so called 'cookie bar' was nothing but a dry oaty biscuit with a couple of tiny chocolate chips in them to turn it into a 'cookie'. So in actually fact the bar is far from a cookie, just a biscuit with some chocolate ... Read the complete review
