I often like to try something new and especially when it's on offer for a bargain price! I got a pack of ten of these from Tesco for £1 which I thought was good going for a brand name like Fox's. I really like most of their biscuit bars so I thought I'd got a real find with these.

Sadly these aren't up to the same standard that the other favourites are. The cookie bars are very dry and crumbly, more like shortbread than cookies. There are plenty of chocolate chips in them at least, the packaging says 11%, so even though it isn't the nicest biscuit in the world, at least you can taste some of the chocolate.

The texture of these is what really lets them down I think. It's very dry and very chewy and not at all in a cookie way. It's like someone's taken five Maryland cookies and squashed them together then drained them of every ounce of moisture.

Even at 10p each these aren't worth it. Fox's make so many great biscuits that I'm surprised at them for this let down. These are bland, dry and lacking in texture. I recommend sticking to Classic Bars and Triples which is what I'll be doing in the future even if I have to pay full price for them.
