Advantages: Taste good
Disadvantages: A little small perhaps
When in Poundland I always go and look at the foodie aisle because they always have lots of items and lots of bargains. Previously I bought Fox's Classic bars in the blue packaging and was very impressed by them so I saw these and thought well they sound good so in the basket they went.
I should also mention that they currently have a 100% extra free promotion so instead of 8 bars in a pack, you get 16 which is always nice and makes the £1 price tag even better. I imagine as with most things sold at Poundland these would be a little more expensive were you to buy them at the supermarket.
The packaging is dark brown with the disctinctive Fox's bars tag on the front which looks like a gift tag. There is a picture of a bar on the front which looked quite tasty and the nutituional information. I was surprised to see that each bar contains just 82 calories. I really expected it to to twice as much. It contains wheat, gluten, milk and soya for anyone who's allergic. The bars are all individually wrapped inside which makes them handy for picnics or lumchboxes.
From the picture on the front I expected them to be quite spongey with chocolate chips inside so I was a tad surprised when I found they were more a biscuity texture. I wasn't disappointed though. They were also a bit smaller that I had anticipated but perhaps that is why the calorie count is low. One thing to watch out for is the crumbs because these go everywhere. According to the Hobnob advert this is a sign of a better biscuit but all I know is that it's a bit messy. They are quite generous with the chocolate chips though to be fair, not like some bars where you're lucky if you find three and I didn't find these too dry though they would go well with a glass of milk I feel.
So I was quite happy with these and would probably buy again especially for £1.
Summary: Go and get them from Poundland
