Advantages: Taste, texutre, calories not too high
Disadvantages: None
Biscuits are a sort of obsession of mine, I'm always on the look out for new biscuits to try because I just love eating them! I'm surprised I'm not yet the size of an elephant with the amount of them I eat. Anyway one of my favourite biscuit brands has to be Fox's because they make such delicious good quality biscuits. They've been around for over 100 years and in that time they really have perfected their biscuit making skills, you can normally find quite a few of their products for sale in most supermarkets which is a good thing as it means I never have far to go to get some.
One of my favourite non-chocolate biscuits is Fox's Crinkle Crunch Butter. I bought a packet from Tesco for £0.87 which wasn't bad, that's about the same price you can expect to pay anywhere for a packet of Fox's biscuits. The packet is a yellow/golden colour to match the colour of the biscuits inside. On the front of the packet is the name of the biscuit, the Fox's logo and a picture of one of the biscuits so that you know what they look like before you eat them. On the back are the ingredients and the nutritional information. My husband also loves these so although we often buy a packet there are never any in the house so unfortunately I can't find the ingredients and nutritional information. I do however remember being surprised that they only contained about 50 calories per biscuit seeing as a lot of the chocolate biscuits I eat contain around 100 so these aren't so bad for you.
As soon as you open the packet you can smell the butter in these biscuits. They are a pale golden colour, similar to that of the packet. They are circular in shape and have a slightly cracked appearance on the top. When you bite into them you get a very nice crunch which is part of the reason why I bought these in the first place, they are very crunchy. If you want to keep that wonderful crunch then you'll need to put them into an airtight container or they will go horribly stale, nobody wants that to happen! They taste very buttery and slightly sweet which I think is from golden syrup, it's a very nice taste and makes a lovely change to the taste of chocolate.
Overall I think that these are a fantastic biscuit and I definitely recommend them to anybody who likes a buttery tasting biscuit, I'm also impressed by the low amount of calories in each biscuit, 10 out of 10.
Summary: Delicious buttery biscuits
