As I am a fan of Poppets (the orange ones from the original mixed boxes being my favourite) my mum found the choc chip cookie version in a shop on offer so bought the 3 for £1. Packaging This flavour is in a nice, bright blue coloured box. On the front we get a fun looking 'Poppets' written and some little pictures of the product. On the back is the traditional ingredients, nutritional information and the contact details of the company if dissatisfied with the product. The best before date is imprinted on the side of the box and hard to see but I cna just make out that I have 9 months before the expiry date. My real annoyance with the packaging is ... I've never really eaten Poppets, though probably because I always saw them as a sweet rather than as a chocolate. We spotted these new ones at a special chocolate shop near the Monkey Forest, and deciding they looked like a cheap version of the Hotel Chocolat munchkins we'd just picnicked on, decided to buy up all they had left (NB there were only two packets, and two of us, but it just sounds better that way). These Poppets are, allegedly, chocolate chip cookie covered in milk chocolate. They are small, round balls, though the ones in my packets were all different shapes, and somewhere between the roundness of a Malteaser and the flatness of a Minstrel. They ... I bought my granddaughters' a packet of these new Poppets last week as they were of special offer if you also bought the Mint flavour, which they love. These new Cookie Poppets come in a blue box which makes them easily distinguishable from the other flavours in the range. This time around Paynes have filled the Poppets with a Choc Chip Cookie mixture and eventually I decided to try a box of my own as I love the new Galaxy Cookie bar and thought this might be similar. The little round chocolates are nice enough, but I think I shall stick with my usual mint ones as these are a little bland in flavour in my opinion and lack the 'fun' of eating a box ...
