... but nevertheless its the taste thats important, especially with chocolate. The chocolate coating covers the biscuit nicely, not too thick and not too thin and as you bite into one you immediately notice the sweetness of caramel, you dont get a huge amount of caramel admittedly but it is a lovely sweet contrast to the biscuit itself. I always find Fox's biscuits to have a satisfying crunch to them and these are no exceptions! Each biscuit contains: 101 kcals 10.4g sugar 4.8g fat 2.9g saturates 0.13g salt So cant...more

Fox's Rocky caramel bar, a quick and cheerful way to beat of chocolate cravings without piling on the pounds. A great addition to packed lunches or to have with a mid-morning cup of tea or coffee these little bars seem to always find their way into my shopping basket. Sold in packs of 9 (DooYoos picture seems to say 10, but my pack is 9) each individual biscuit is wrapped in a cheerful yellow wrapper with the brand name across the centre, it is described as being a "Rugged biscuit with smooth caramel", personally I think the term "Rugged" is pushing it a bit but nevertheless its the taste thats important, especially with ...  Read the complete review

Biscuits are my Diet downfall and especially Chocolate ones. I've been a fan of Rocky Bar since my mum used to have them in the Biscuit tin and there was the choice of these or Penguins, which I was totally bored with at that point. Anyway back to these Biscuits. Rocky Bars are made by Fox's and you get them in Milk Chocolate or these ones which are Milk Chocolate with Caramel. You buy them in a pack of 10 and they normally cost about £1.20 at my local Asda and Tesco. Sometimes Asda has a deal of 2 for £2 on their branded Chocolate Bars, so it helps save the pennies a bit. The packaging is alright for these. They are in a quite long, thin ...  Read the complete review

We are hosting foreign language students this summer, and one of the things we have to do is to provide them with a decent packed lunch. Whilst my own children are used to having jam sandwiches and an apple, the specification for the language school is to include such luxuries as a chocolate bar or biscuit..... So, the last few grocery shops have seen me looking for cheap and cheerful packed lunch items that will satisfy the students' requirements, yet won't cost me the earth.....after all, I take students in to earn money, not to spend it all in Tescos!! This weeks students have had "Rocky Caramel bars" in their lunchboxes......they were ...  Read the complete review

Last week my hubby and I had a quick look through approvedfood.co.uk and the 'quick' look turned into a long look and the long look turned into a wallet being opened and a cash card being removed. What can I say? There was so many nice sweets at such good prices that we just couldn't resist it. Our order came to £20 but when we sat down and worked out the shop value of everything it came to £70! You will be pleased to know that we were very mature and split it all up into piles and we will be eating it over the next month rather than do what I really, really, wanted to do and that was sit with the box infront of us and eat as much as we possibly could in one go. My hubby ...  Read the complete review

As if I haven't eaten enough chocolate in the last few days... why on earth then have I decide to write a review on a chocolate biscuit?! If the truth be told, everyone is out of the house, it's far too quiet and I've got the munchies. Obviously if I write a review whilst eating the said biscuit, it means the calories don't count and my diet won't be sabotaged. The biscuit I am going to eat and review is the Caramel Rocky Bar. It is made by the well know company - Fox's. The Company...... Fox's Biscuits were founded in Yorkshire, in 1853 by Michael Spedding, who opened a small confectionery shop in the centre of a small town called Batley. One ...  Read the complete review
