Advantages: quality, bug chunky bits, reasonable price for the quality, oh and nice looking jar!

Disadvantages: is pricer then supermarket own brands

I had a house guest last night, a friend of my parents who was flying back to France this morning and last night after our wonderful meal in a local restaurant she insisted we go to Tesco to get some flowers for me and some toys for my son as a thank you! No complaints from me there. Whilst shopping my guest decided to get a 'few bits' for the morning so that she could have her favourite breakfast. She picked up a jar of Frank Cooper's Marmalade and opted for the Coarse Cut version.

I decided to join her with the Marmalade on toast this morning (at stupid o'clock before setting off to the airport).

Opening the jar and taking in the string aroma of seville oranges this was not an experience I'd had before - I'm a Frank Cooper Virgin! The smell of oranges is very strong and very pleasant. Spooning some marmalade out to spread I noticed VERY COARSE chunks of orange peel. The 'jam' is also very coarse and looks much like a paste in the jar. Nonetheless, it spread easily and evenly enough.

Biting into my toast was a taste sensation. I had never tasted such equisite marmalade I have to say. This is a delicious marmalade. I expected the price tag to be pretty massive and just checked on mysupermarket.com and was very pleasantly surprised to find it was only £1.48 for a 454g jar. Comparing that to Duchy's which is £2.75 for 265g I am shocked. Comparing it to Tescos own at 44p its a steep price tag though.

This is a quality marmalade for a reasonable price and I am very pleased that I did not pay for the jar yet get to keep it and eat it!!!

Summary: marmalade might just be my new favourtie breakfast

This sounds really nice. I must try it myself.
