I bought these bars for my little girl as a change from plain fruit and an alternative to chocolate I find I need a variety of snacks for my little girl to stop her getting bored so these healthy treats seemed a good idea. I bought these from asda on an offer of £1 for five bars and my little girl loved them i bought the blackcurrant flavour and strawberry flavour ones, they are easy to open for little ones so ideal for lunch boxes and they are also filling and i tasted them too and they taste great. The blackcurrant ones were in the purple box and the strawberry in a red box, the bars are individually wrapped in foil so they are kept fresh and mine had a good ... Read the complete review

Last year I brought my first pack of school bars. I had seen them in the shops for a while but never had any reason to buy them - my daughter was too young for them at the time and I didn't any any particular urge to try them. My daughter turned 1 years old and I was looking for new and healthy snacks for her to try so school bars seemed like a good choice. School bars are made by a company called fruit bowl whos aim is to make fruit more fun to eat. They come in 20g bars and in packs of 5. I brought my pack of school bars from Tesco for £1.18. You can also buy them from other big supermarkets, healthy food stores and some small convienience stores at around ... Read the complete review

"Fruit Bowl School Bars" - you would think wouldn't you looking at the name of these and the picture of the succulent looking strawberries/fruit on the packet that these were a fruit bar wouldn't you? Right? Wrong I suspect. I picked some of these up during one of those fraught supermarket trips. I am finding the school packed lunch thing tricky and a snack that is not chocolate always seems a good idea. They are 98p for five, and the bars come vacuum packed and are that school lunch box size. My daughter had had them at a friend's and told me she liked them. I happily gave her a few, reassured by the "no added ... Read the complete review

As a mother I like to know that my son is getting all of his vitamin and minerals everyday. He's approaching two and is starting to get a little fussy with fruit and vegetables so when I was doing an online shop the other day I had a look through to see if I could find him something that would appeal to his sweet tooth but also provide him with some goodness too. I came across these school bars which looked very intriguing so thought I'd order them. They were £1.00 for 5 individually wrapped bars and came in a box. I ordered the blackcurrant ones but they come in apple and pear and cherry, apple and pear as well. I was pretty impressed to see that they were ... Read the complete review

Finding appealing yet healthy snacks is a never-ending quest for parents, particularly those of toddlers. I'm quite lucky in this regard as my son will snack on relatively healthy things - fresh fruit, dried fruit, bread, rice cakes and the like. Sometimes, though, I feel I want something to treat him with that's not firmly in the sweetie camp. I thought that I'd found the perfect product in something called "Humzingers" a dried fruit snack bar that looks rather too much like it's already been processed for my liking but is nonetheless enjoyed by my son. However, on a particular trip to the supermarket I was unable to buy these bars and, instead, ... Read the complete review
