Advantages: Mostly nice, great price
Disadvantages: Only 6 in a packet
I read a review about Fruitella Crunchies a few days ago and, although the review was actually a negative one of this product, I thought I'd try it anyway.
I saw the product on the shelves in the sweets section of my local Tesco with 3 for 50p written on them so I thought I wouldnt really be losing anything by trying them.
They come in a packet which is approximately 10 centimetres long and contains 6 sweets. The flavours of these sweets are cherry, strawberry, apple, orange, lemon and raspberry and each section of the sweet packaging is colour co-ordinated to match these flavours (purple for cherry, pink for strawberry, green for apple, orange for orange, yellow for lemon and pink again for raspberry.)
Now onto the sweets themselves. The raspberry ones taste a little plasticy and fake. However, from there on they seem to just improve! The lemon one is very refreshing and does actually taste of lemon. The orange one is the same, although perhaps the flavour could be stronger. The apple one is very sweet and appley and actually tastes like they are made from apple juice. Unfortunately, the strawberry one does taste rather like eating lip balm, although it is definately strawberry flavoured. Finally, the cherry one tastes just right and is by far my favorite of them all!
There are no artificial colourings or flavourings in the product at all which is very good for your health.
Although the original Fruitella sweets tasted better, these are certainly a nice change and I would recommend them!
Summary: Reasonable product
