Garner's pickled onions are at the "Premium" end of the pickled onion spectrum, they are the most expensive ones on sale in my local Tesco. So - are they worth the extra cash?? Well the first thing you will notice about the Garner's onions is that they are a little bigger than those found in most other brands of pickles, so they are better for slicing up to put in crusty roll with some vintage cheddar (my fave snack!). I think the larger than normal size of the onions might also be part of the reason that these are a bit crunchier than most others as well. Garner's make the best pickled onions, they're one of the most expensive in the shop but are sooo worth it because they're so good! They are called Original Old Fashioned picked onions and I agree with that because they taste a bit home made and the onions are massive compared to the Tesco picked onions we sometimes buy. These onions have the best crunch out of any pickled onion and because they are big you will probably have to bite them in half and they taste dead fresh when you bite them. In an effort to save money I recently tried a jar of 'supermarket own brand' pickled onions and have to say I wasn't that impressed. I don't eat that many pickled onions but when I do I don't want 'crunchless', soggy, tasteless onions the size of golf balls soaked in overpowering vinegar. Garner's is thankfully a different experience their onions are brusting with flavour, have a crunch and the malt vinegar is not too ... Read the complete review

I don't know about you but when me and my family go shopping we are easily swayed. Like we go looking for Muller Light Yogurts but if there's a special offer on something else we get them instead. However some things in life we know what we like. Mum called me the other day while I was out and about shopping and she asked me to get pickled onions. The brand is none negotiable. It's these. If these arnt available we don't get any others. It has to be these or nothing at all in my home. In my house me and my parents eat a jar of these a week. Accompanying a sandwich or a piece of pork pie when drunk we all love them lol The ... Read the complete review
