We hear such a lot about the way chickens are reared and eggs harvested that one can never be sure. Apparently 'barn eggs' doesn't mean a thing. They may be no better than battery eggs. I haven't had a pickled egg for years and a review by another Dooyoo member sent me out on a search for a jar of Garner's Pickled Eggs. I eventually found a jar some hours later in a small local shop. It cost me £1.80 which I thought was good value because there were eight eggs in the jar. At least I think it's eight, but without tipping them all out and physically handling them I can't be certain. Wait a minute, it could be seven. It's really quite deceptive trying to peer through glass and vinegar to count eggs. (The wish to do so could also be an indication of a very 'sad' life!) I cannot believe I am the first to write a review on pickled eggs - what is up with you guys? They are delicious!!!!!!!! Well I had my first pickled egg forced upon me when in a chip shop with my then fiance. He knew I liked pickled onions (bit of an obsession actually!) and pickles generally so thought I'd like one. Like everyone reading this I turned my nose up but he explained how his mum loves them he knew I would too. So I tried it. Boy was it good?!
