... but they're the best pork pies I've ever tasted. The meat is all the way to the pastry and there is only a very thin layer of jelly, on one of the pies there was no jelly at all and I was mega happy about that! The pastry is lovely and crisp but soft on the bottom, it's got a yummy savoury flavour and is a gorgeous brown colour. The pork pies look lovely because they're not exactly the same as each other and that makes them look a lot nicer. The pork isn't too fatty inside the pie, it's got a bit of a greasy flavour...more

I don't eat many pork pies because the jelly in them makes me sick, my mum and dad both love the jelly so they're happy with the cheapo pork pies because there's always tonnes of it in those. I never touch it if I can see that the jelly is thick but the last couple of weeks we've been buying some of the more expensive pork pies because my mum is sampling food for Xmas day so we've got all the best that day! lol She got a pack of Ginsters Mini Pork Pies from the Co-Op and they were quite dear but they're the best pork pies I've ever tasted. Premium Review The pastry is nice but the pork can let it down (290 words)

***The Taste*** These are my favourite pork pies as there is just enough jelly between the meat and the pie. I really don't like it when there is too much jelly, especially if it is the slimey type (yuck!) but fortunately this isn't the case here. The main emphasis is on the meat and the pastry, which is exactly how a pork pie should be in my opinion. The pie part is relatively solid but also a little crumbly at times when you bite into it The pork inside is quite chewy, which I'm not overly keen on and sometimes there are some hard bits that take some chewing. Because of that, the taste factor only get three stars for me as I have tasted better pork ...  Read the complete review

These mini pork pies make me proud to be British and stop me from feeling too guilty because they are mini ones! Ginsters make really fantastic prok pies with delicious pastry and pork and very little jelly - just the way I like You can buy them accross many supermarkets in the country, I got mine from sainsburys for £1 and it makes a nice alternative to eating sandwiches everyday! You are better of buying in the supermarkets to get the best value as garages really to shoot the prices up. They are perfect for picnics, snacks, with a meal or road trips. As they are bite sized there is no need to cut them up and then wrap up the rest etc meaning they are ...  Read the complete review

This is a fabulous new range by the very popular Ginsters. Always a favourite for me when i'm on a road trip but even better now they're more mini-bite-size so good for snacking! Often when you think pasty, you think Ginsters (after the Cornish, no particular but very special range) and this certainly meets the bill. Think pork pie - you'll soon be thinking Ginsters too! This pie is the tastiest - well seasoned British pork in a crunchy case. There are a range of sizes to attract all people to the market! The snack-sized packs are ideal for your lunchbox. Personally, i was glad to see (or taste) that this pork pie had very little 'jelly' as this typically puts ...  Read the complete review
