We love these Ginsters Sausage Rolls in our house and it's even better at the minute because the shop by us is selling them for £1.49 for 4. They are the meatiest sausage rolls I've tried and there's loads of meat in them, it's got a bit of spice and the flavour of the sausagemeat is quite herby compared to the supermarket sausage rolls that my mum usually buys. The pastry is flakey when it's cooked and goes lovely and golden, the bottom doesn't go sloppy and greasy like happens with a lot of sausage rolls. They warm through good in the oven in about 15 mins and then are done perfect, the meat doesn't go boiling hot after this time but they're ... Read the complete review

I bought a 140g Ginster's sausage roll from Tesco this morning as it was on special offer at £1. It also came with 20 bonus clubcard points. The packaging is black with a picture of the product on the front. The wrapper tells us that this product is made with fresh british pork with a hint of sage and spices and is wrapped in a light puff pastry. These are also made with no artificial ingredients which is always a good thing. You bite through soft, flaky puff pasty and then slow down slightly as your teeth come into contact with a solid mass of spicy pork sausage meat. Each bite, even a smaller bite, is quite hearty. The pastry is lovely. ... Read the complete review

As I have mentioned before I like the odd Sausage Roll. Yes, it is more the Mini ones I like, but have been known to eat a larger, slightly thicker one now and again. They aren't particularly good for you, but they are kinda taste. I found this in the Chiller section of my local Tesco. It was on offer for £1, but I think the right price was something like £1.30. The Sausage Roll was 140g. Packaging is alright for this. The Roll is in one of those plastic sleeve bag things, which can be quite hard to pull apart at the ends, but a pair of scissors make light work of it. The pack was mostly a black colour, with the normal appetising picture of the ... Read the complete review

When we buy sausage rolls, these are usually the preferred choice unless we are trying out an offer. They are a bit pricier than the own brand options but we are happy to pay that bit extra as they do taste nice. ***The Appearance*** If you intend to eat them without cooking them, they usually have a light brown appearance which doesn't look very much like the appearance on the packaging. For that, you have to cook them so that you get the golden-brown pastry. The sausage meat inside tends to look more grey than the brown that you can see on the packaging so overall, the packaging is a bit misleading. ***The Taste*** I usually eat mine ...
