I love my crisps! I can't live without them! I'm not fussy on brands or flavours I eat anything at the best of times and with crisps I'm just not fussy, it's hard to find a crisp I don't like! Just give me em! So going to my local newsagents for my usual Star Magazine, can of pop and bag of crisps as I do every Tuesday, I picked up these as I haven't tried them in a while, 'Wheat Crunchies, Spicy Tomato Flavour, Crunchy Wheat Tubes'. The Packaging.... 30g bright red, foil sealed packet. On the front at the top of the packet I'm told in bold white writing that they are indeed Wheat Crunchies and there's a drawing of three 'tubes'. I'm also ... Read the complete review

Yesterday I reviewed the Worcester Sauce Flavour so now it's the turn of the Spicy Tomato flavour. Wheat Crunchies describe themselves as "crunchy wheaty tubes" & contain no artificial colours, flavours or MSG." Each bag weighs 25g. The Spicy Tomato flavour come in a red packet with the name on the front. The ingredients, nutritional information & contact details for KP foods can be found on the back. I love a good packet of crisps and these Golden Wonder Wheat Crunchies are a very, very good packet of crisps. They come in a few flavours, those being, Worcester sauce, crispy bacon and the ones I am reviewing today, the tomato flavour. Most tomato crisps are tomato sauce flavour but these are spicy tomato flavour although I am not sure there is really any difference. Wheat crunchies are tube shaped crisps made from wheat rather than the typical potato crisp. These crisps are very, very crunchy and they always have a strong tomato taste that really dances on the tongue. The trouble with these is they are very hard to come by unless you buy ... I love crisps and ketchup but when I can't find any I settle for tomato flavour crisps, the best of these are Golden Wonder Wheat Crunchies Spicy Tomato. I first came across them in a vending machine but have bought them a lot in the years since. They can unfortunately be quite difficult to come across in single packets so I get mine form the local newsagents in 50g bags for about 35p. If you go into a supermarket however you can normally buy a multipack of 10 containing three flavours: Spicy Tomato, Crispy Bacon & Worcester Sauce Flavours for £1.85. The Spicy Tomato Flavour comes in a bright red packet with a picture of the crunchies pouring out of it. On ... Read the complete review

Spicy tomato is my favourite flavour in the wheat crunchie range, there are also worcester sauce and crispy bacon, but I find all bacon flavour snacks repeat on me for hours after consuming so tend to stay away from them, so my daughter eats those ones. Wheat crunchies are made by KP snacks who are also well known for producing skips, disco and nick naks which are also very good quality snacks. Asda normally retails them for about £1.69 for a multi bag that contains 9 packets in all, 3 worcester sauce, 3 crispy bacon and 3 spicy tomato, but I tend to buy these when they are on offer as you can then purchase them for 2 bags for £2 which make them ...
