Green and Blacks Organic White Bar

White chocolate tends to be a bit of a girl thing, and indeed I was introduced to it by a lady friend. All too often white chocolate tends to be a bit on the sickly sweet side. Not this one, I've never tasted duff Green and Black's chocolate and this was no exception - smooth, yes, sweeter than the same company's Organic Milk Chocolate and still with that touch of class that Green and Black's bring to their products. If you're not familiar with Green and Blacks chocolates, they are a UK based manufacturer chocolate manufacturer founded in 1991 and now owned by Cadbury. The name reflects their ethics: Green represents their sustainable and organic principles, and Black represents the colour of their original dark 70% chocolate bar,and the intense taste of all their chocolate. The organic white bar comes in a 100g bar, which usually sells at around £1.70 in supermarkets. I am a big fan of white chocolate although nowadays I struggle to find any without resorting to the milkybar stuff and if I'm honest that isn't all that satisfying. A few years ago they had a Dream bar which was exactly the kind of thing I wanted but now it seems they have disappeared from our shelves. I'm not going to turn down the chance of eating a good quality product when it's been reduced in price. I went to Tesco today to try and find myself a little treat, I am a huge chocoholic, so I looked where all the chocolate is kept and I came across this Green&Black's white organic chocolate bar! This chocolate bar grabbed my attention initially because of the packaging. It's cream with a bit of yellow on it, with dark writing on it. To me this chocolate bar stood out because it was so different to the bars next to it, it looked sophisticated and elegant, where as the Lion bar and the Kitkat just all blended together, with the bright colours. Another delicious chocolate courtesy of Green and Black. This bar comes in 2 sizes 100g and 35g (retailing for 1.50-1.80 and 60-70p respectively). I actually tend to manage to restrain myself enough to go for the smaller version on this one!!! As with other Green and Black products this is organic (I'm sure that makes it healthier?! Right?!). At least it's not pouring any additives in. This is in keeping with the company ethics as listed on their website. Although it is not listed as fair trade.
