I purchased a bar of the Green & Black's Organic dark chocolate with Mint from Waitrose on 22 September 2009 costing £1.87 for the 100g bar. The wrapper promised Dark Chocolate filled with peppermint fondant for a fresh soft centre. The cocoa content is 70% It states on the back that the bar may contain traces of nuts & cereal so may not be suitable for everyone. I have tested a bar of Green and Blacks Dark Chocolate with Mint, which I bought from Tesco this morning: I was looking for something chocolatey and noticed that these were on offer: Any two for £3.00 (I also bought the Butterscotch variety). The bar I have is the 100g size, this seems to be the biggest size that Green and Blacks produce - they do not seem to manufacture the gut-busting giant bars like Cadburys, which is probably just as well as it helps chocoholics to control themselves a little bit I guess! When i became Vegan it was quite a big step as one of my staple foods has always been chocolate, and almost all chocolate in the uk contains milk. Green and blacks however make chocolates (not specifically for vegans) and some have no milk in, the mint variety is one of these. As with most green and blacks it comes in a dark wrapper with a green header to signify the mint flavour. Once again the only fair way to review this chocolate is to eat it, im sure youll agree.
