When it comes to cheesecakes I think they can taste very different depending on where you get them. I have yet to find one of the frozen variety that I like, the little individual pots you can buy are usually nice and when I went to New York I had some 'proper' cheesecake which was delicious but so rich I really couln't manage much. Years ago I used to get chocolate cheesecake in little pots but the supermarket stopped selling them and I have never found them since. Greens Cheesecake mix is one kind that I do like. We don't often have puddings in our house except for on a Sunday and we will maybe have a cheesecake once a month. Greens Cheesecake is a very ... Read the complete review

I do like cheesecakes but often find they taste just too rich, and after two mouthfuls I've had enough..this is where this packet mix from Green's is different. I remember my mum sometimes used to buy this when I was a child and the taste was simply divine. For years I didn't see it in the shops but then one day I spotted it at Asda for the amazingly low price of 45p! After stocking up on a few boxes I was keen to 'make' my first homemade cheesecake for a taste of my childhood past. To make it is so simple that even I can manage it without causing some disaster or setting a fire alarm off! Everything you need is included in the pack ... Read the complete review

Greens Cheesecake Mix: I love cheesecake but I am not too keen on the frozen ones as they always seem a bit lame. Making cheesecake isn't too hard but its faffy and generally there are things I would rather be making in my kitchen. In Asda, (well on asda.com), I saw these cheesecake mixes for a mere 55p each and decided it would be rude not to try them. You get a box much like the boxes on any other cake mix and it contains a little packet of biscuit crumbs, (to form the base), and a packet of cheesecake filling mix. You will also need milk and butter. To make the cheesecake is simple, you just line a cake tin, (something like a Victoria sponge ... Read the complete review

I always try to keep a stash of sweet treats in the house for when the craving for some sugar hits me. I like using cake mixes sometimes because then I can have a cake freshly made in very little time, the Greens cheescake mix caught my eye one day and I bought it because I have had previous good experiences with the brand. It cost me 99p for the kit from Asda. It is easy to make your own cheesecake at home, theres no pounding digestives or measuring out long lists of ingredients involved. To make the base you simply stir the contents of the biscuit sachet into some melted butter and then place into a tin and to make the filling you just whip the second sachet ...
