I do love scones but they are a bread item which does not keep well so if you buy a packet from the shops or baker you need to eat them within a day or they go stale. The other alternative is to make your own scones, I'm sure that making them from scratch is easy but I like to keep a packet of Greens English Scones mix in my cupboard. The little packet of scone mix costs about 70p from supermarkets so will hardly break the bank. It is incredibly simple to bake your own scones, just add the mix to some water and make a dough which you then roll out, cut into rounds, glaze with a little bit of milk and bung into the oven for 12 minutes.
