What decadent little puds these are, they nestle on the top shelf of most supermarkets in their dark boxes with their sexy name, pout those lips and say it slowly ..Gu.... These are puddings for adults only! The GU range has always been too pricey to entice me and resisting the pull of pure chocolate puddings is no easy feat but whilst in my local Somerfield doing a 'top-up' shop I stumbled across a packet of GU chocolate soufflés for the reduced price of £2.24 (normally £2.99) and couldn't resist any longer. I was attracted to the puds one because of the heavenly looking picture of them on the packet but also because soufflés are not something I can make, or ... Read the complete review

I had a day off work today and I had already decided to treat myself to a gorgeous bit of carrot cake which I seem to have an addiction too at the moment. But shock horror at the supermarket as I couldn't find any carrot cake at all! None in the whole place! (Is there a carrot strike on???) So on my way to the checkout these grabbed my eye and I quickly dropped them in my basket. Ok so I like carrot cake but chocolate has always been my number one! ** Gü ** Gü is a new name to the market which has created a whole new world of chocolate extremism. Created by a rather clever chap named James Averdieck, he was inspired by the local patisseries use of ... Read the complete review

I first tried these souffles about 3 years ago when they first came out, and they remain my favourite dessert. ~Packaging and Price~ You get 2 souffles in a pack, and each box costs £2.99. This puts them at the more indulgent end of the market, but worth pushing to for an occassional treat. Each souffle comes in a reusable glass ramekin, which are pretty much bomb proof! We still have every one we've ever used. ~First impressions~ Peeling back the foil lid there is a delicious mellow smell of chocolate. The souffle itself looks like a dark, dense cream, and its hard to believe it will soon be a light and airy pudding. The ... Read the complete review

You may think what I am about to tell you is a rather poor excuse for buying (and devouring) these delicious chocolate treats from Gü, but let me assure you that every word I am about to type is true! I actually went into Tesco intending to buy two ramekin dishes, after selecting them I found myself browsing the chillers when I espied these Gü Hot Chocolate Souffles. Upon closer inspection I realised these desserts are supplied in glass ramekins, as they are on special offer at £2 a box I decided I might as well buy these for the extra 22p and have the dessert as well as the dishes! What can I say? As per usual Gü have come up with a wonderously chocolatey ... Read the complete review

Foraging in the aisles for a Friday treat, I spotted Gü puddings for the first time. The sleek, sophisticated black packaging stood out against the pale blues and whites of the other cream cakes. I reached up and plucked the box from the shelf and got a shock when I discovered that not only was it the size of a housebrick, it was the weight of one too. "We can't get these!" I cried "They weigh a stone before they're even digested!" Upon closer inspection of the box it emerged that these little puds actually come in their own posh glass ramekins so that explained why they were so heavy. These cost £2.99 for a box of two in my local Tesco, ... Read the complete review
