Advantages: Taste, variety
Disadvantages: That I do not have a box right now
Guylian Chocolate Sea Shells are one of my favourite boxed chocolates!
It's hard to even write this review as now I am wanting some and I do not have any!
These come in boxes of different sizes, most commonly the 65g personal size or the 250g size which is larger and perhaps for sharing, although I have no problem eating this size to myself.
As a caution this item does contain nuts so nut allergy sufferers beware!
There are 11 different types of sea shells, including my favourite which is the sea horse shape.
These chocolates are made using fine belgium praline with a mixture of dark and white and milk and white. The outer layer of the shells are a thin layer of the chocolate and the inside is a smooth creamy praline center that is just amazing! The patterns on each of the shells are varied and quite distinctive, making it that more exciting to pick your next one. The taste is quite scrumptious with the urge to have more and more. They have a thick, creamy, intense flavour that really stands out in comparison to other chocolates.
These chocolates look quite fancy and are special, not your everyday kind of chocolate (although there is no reason why it couldn't be) but I prefer to have them when I want to indulge, perhaps if I have an evening in I would choose to purchase these and then enjoy them.
There are also other ranges of the Guylian, such as chocolate bars and other boxed items such as 'Opus' which are available worldwide.
Summary: A great range of chocolates that taste amazing!
