I usually eat it in a small bowl, slightly melted which is the way I like it best, but it tastes great even when it is completely frozen. I also like eating it in a cone, or with fruits, particularly oranges, or orange jelly which is very yummy. Only downside....addiction equals possible weight gain....blocked arteries...etc. I would definitely recommend this to all those out there, even those wh...more

While eating ...or should I say devouring..this dessert, I was trying to search for words to describe the Ice Cream, for the purpose of writing this review, but all I could think of was, 'I don't want it to finish!' and when I finished eating it, all I could think of was, 'I want some more!'. So in this tub of absolute...still searching for a word...um....Divine Deliciousness?..., is a rich chocolate ice-cream mixked with bits of belgian chocolate that just melt on your tongue. The chocolate bits are dark chocolate, which I don't usually like, but I can barely taste it as dark chocolate and it really makes a great combination with the milk chocolate ...  Read the complete review

Haagen Dazs - My true love! (341 words)

I purchased this 500ml tub of Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate for £4.25 from our local fish & chip shop recently when treating my fiance to a takeaway for tea after he had a hard day at work. The ice cream is provided in a cardboard round pot with a plastic lid and I believe the whole thing is recyclable (I throw it in the recycling bin anyway!). Once you open the lid you can smell the chocolate ice cream straight away and the smell is enough to make your mouth water before you've even got you spoon dug in! The ice cream is pretty hard if it's just come straight from the freezer so I would recommend leaving it out on the side for 10 ...  Read the complete review

Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate: Dazs is the best ice cream for me. (405 words)

Those of you who have read recent reviews of mine will know I'm partial to a scoop or 2 of good quality ice cream, Haagen Dazs is a particular favourite, especially Belgian Chocolate. When you open the plastic lid and remove the flimsy plastic film you are presented with a mid brown colour chocolate ice cream with many dark brown flecks throughout. You can faintly smell the chocolate scent, so you have to lift the pot closer to your nose to inhale the rich Belgian chocolate aroma. After waiting a short while for it to melt and then taking a few 'hard to scoop' scoops into your bowl, you can then taste the creaminess mixed with the rich chocolate and ...  Read the complete review

Belgian Chocolate Haagen Dazs - a tasty treat (321 words)

I don't often eat ice cream but when I saw that Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate was on offer for £3 for a 500ml tub, I thought I'd treat myself. It usually costs between £3.50 and £4.00. The packaging is a very nice part deep red and part gold carton with a plastic lid. The 500ml tub is a handy size for keeping in the freezer as it does not take up much room. A 500ml tub usually lasts me and my other half about two weeks. The ice cream itself has a lovely texture. It is very soft and creamy so you don't have to dig away at it for ages just to get some out of the tub! This kind of texture is fairly typical of Haagen Dazs ice cream which makes it a ...  Read the complete review

Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate: Creamy Chocolaty Goodness (351 words)

The Mrs and I do get through more than our fair share of luxury ice cream it has to be said. There are few brands more luxurious than Haagen Dazs and at the moment, instead of paying the full price of £3.99 per tub you can get two tubs for £5 in Sainsburys. We've stocked up on a few tubs just in case of summer evening emergencies and the first one we've had our spoons in is the Belgian Chocolate flavour. The texture is really thick so it's best to leave this to stand on the side for about half an hour before you get stuck in. Otherwise you'll probably find your spoon gets stuck! Much better than those cheap aerated soft scoop ice creams where they ...  Read the complete review
