As part of a two for £5 deal at Sainsburys we bought a pot of Haagen Dazs Pralines & Cream ice cream with our shopping last week. It normally retails for £3.99 per 500ml tub but is especially good value when you're able to get it on offer at this sort of price. Before you do anything else you need to sit this out on the side for about half an hour to let it thaw so you can get your spoon in. This stuff is really thick and you wouldn't want to try to eat it before it's had chance to melt slightly. Well, now that I've figured out that what Haagen-Dazs calls "Praline & Cream" in the UK is what they call "Crème Caramel Pecan" in the US, I can finally write this op! We all know that Haagen-Dazs makes some of the finest ice creams on the market today, and are now produced and sold all over the world. They can, therefore, charge a bit more (if not a lot more) for their products than the local brands such as Walls, ASDA or even Cadbury ice creams.
