Crowned Review Haagen Dazs Strawberry Cheese Cake Ice Cream: Strawberry Fields Forever (994 words)

Häagen-Dazs. I always thought this meant something deep and meaningful in one or other of the Scandinavian languages, something professing the wonders of an ancient Nordic ice cream tradition. Today, whilst doing a little background reading for this review, I have found out that this belief is completely and utterly wrong. Häagen-Dazs is American. Häagen-Dazs is a nonsense word, meaning nothing at all. Häagen-Dazs was born in 1961, making it slightly older than Ben and Jerry?s, but hardly ancient or traditional. In fact, it has only been available to us Brits since 1987, despite international ...  Read the complete review

My family love haagen dazs and I usually have stock on freezer but doesn't last very long. It's not pretty the right time to review an ice cream but it's the only one I can think of reviewing since my little one did'nt leave me alone until he had his treat so we popped up to tesco because my little one really fancy eating his favourite icecream which is the strawberry cheesecake from haagen dazs. As we arrived I saw different ice cream on offer so I tried to convince him to get the carte d'or because it's half price but it actually did'nt work. He knew exactly where to get it and It really brighten up his day. HAAGEN DAZS A brand of ice cream which was ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Haagen Dazs Strawberry Cheese Cake Ice Cream: What does Haagen Dazs mean? Nothing but luxury! (400 words)
by - written on 22/10/09 (Very useful, 10 readings)
Rating:

Haagen Dazs is a 'super premium' ice cream, hailing from the United States. By super premium, I mean that it is highly dense, with barely any air mixed in during its creation, resulting in purer ice cream. There are also no emulsifiers or stabilisers in the product - the makers opt to use egg yolks and butter fat instead. The result of all this is a really, really thick ice cream, that takes forever to melt, and takes a real effort to get your spoon into it! This is not a bad thing though, as when you do manage to get through it in its fully frozen state, you are rewarded with one of the richest taste experiences in ice cream that you are likely to find. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review now this is what I call a 'proper' ice-cream! (471 words)

I'm not too keen on ice-cream as I can take it or leave it. I suppose I've only really tasted either Icelands cheapo vanilla or Mr Whippy's (or similar) & have always thought that it's more trouble than it's worth when it melts as soon as you start eating it. Well, I have to say that opinion of ice-cream has now changed having tried the delicious Haagen-Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake - it's truly lovely. Hubby came home with a box of mini H-D in different flavours which he found in Costco & my daughter asked if I'd like to try one thinking I'd like the Strawberry Cheesecake. I really enjoyed it & was well pleased to have been bought a 430g ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Haagen Dazs Strawberry Cheese Cake Ice Cream: Ooh, the luxury! (281 words)

I'm a sucker for anything that involves ice cream and strawberries so you can imagine my elation when I stumbled across this HD Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream! Available in 100ml pots, as well as the larger 500ml tubs this is a little taste of heaven. As with all Haagen Dazs offerings this ice cream is deep and creamy and melts in your mouth with a very satisfying feeling. The strawberries add a lovely sweet yet sharp layer to the taste and the wonderful texture of the cheesecake biscuit crumble just makes this the perfect indulgence. And an indulgence it certainly is! This product comes in at 236cal/100ml serving so it's fair ...  Read the complete review
