Haagen Dazs Pralines & Cream ... part of a two for £5 deal at Sainsburys we bought a pot of Haagen Dazs Pralines & Cream ice cream with our shopping last week. It normally retails for £3.99 per 500ml tub but is especially good value when you re able to get it on offer at this sort of price. Before you do anything else you need to sit this out on the side for about half an hour to let it thaw so you can get your spoon in. This stuff is really thick and you wouldn t want to try to eat it before it s had chance to melt slightly. The texture of this ice cream is every bit as brilliant as any of the Haagen Dazs ice creams with the added bonus of creamy caramel swirls throughout this one. There... Haagen Dazs Cookies & Cream ... part of a Sainsburys promotion on Haagen Dazs we bought a tub of Cookies & Cream ice cream last week. The promotional price is 2 tubs for £5 but usually this costs £3.99 for a 500ml tub. I know that sounds like a lot but this is well worth it. Firstly you need to leave the ice cream out to thaw for about half an hour before you can eat it (or even serve it) as it s a very dense ice cream that freezes solidly. Once it s ready for eating, this serves up nicely though beware that the cookie chunks can get in the way of your spoon a bit when you re dishing this up. The texture of this is really amazing. Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate ... Mrs and I do get through more than our fair share of luxury ice cream it has to be said. There are few brands more luxurious than Haagen Dazs and at the moment, instead of paying the full price of £3.99 per tub you can get two tubs for £5 in Sainsburys. We ve stocked up on a few tubs just in case of summer evening emergencies and the first one we ve had our spoons in is the Belgian Chocolate flavour. The texture is really thick so it s best to leave this to stand on the side for about half an hour before you get stuck in. Otherwise you ll probably find your spoon gets stuck!
