... definitely not the case with these sweets. There is a lovely satiny outside, but when you bite into them, they give you a lovely silky, sticky, light, gooey surprise. They come in two colours, white and pink, but both taste the same. They are a reasonable size, larger than most other brands. The major plus to these is that they are fat free, but the down side is that they are mostly made of sugar, but with sugar being easier to burn than fat, this is better I suppose. I bought these mainly for two things: 1) For a to...more

Premium Review Haribo Chamallows: A Taste That's Strong Enough To Dazzle You!! (859 words)

I have always been a fan of marshmallows, and yes I do think they are one of the greatest inventions in the sweet market. I had to find one of the best companies who make the best marshmallows so I came across Haribo chamallows. I have to say as much as I would like to laugh at the name chamallows it's as much as I would like to frown at the name because it's rather ridiculous. You can't really go wrong with these chamallows, once you eat one you can never stop till you are full. I always finish a whole 175g in one day, not because I am greedy (which I am not) but because they are lovely. I don't even remember the days I started consuming these, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review These are just horrible (330 words)

I am quite a fan or marshmallows whether eaten on their own or melted and dipped in chocolate like in the old days but normally when I had a a hankering for marshmallows it would be the Princess pink and white marshmallows in the blue bag I would buy. But today in Poundland I saw these and thought well for a £1 why not. I have seen them in both formats, in the bag as above and in the way I got them, in a plastic tub. There is 225g in this tub. The tub is just see-through with a snap-off lid. There are 344 per 100g. I suppose it would be handy for parties or for taking to the cinema or something and the tub might be handy for storage after. Inside the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Haribo Chamallows: DID YOU KNOW THESE SWEET, FLUFFY LITTLE PUPPIES ARE 'FAT FRE ... (725 words)

Now let me make one thing clear before we embark on the Haribo fluffy journey to that foamiest of places, 'Marshmallow Land' - NO puppies were harmed in the making of this review, Okay?! When I say these 'puppies' taste fluffy, I mean it metaphorically - not literally, dear dooyoo'ers, honestly. Not at any time would I eat poor, innocent little baby doggies; they are too cuddly, too cute, too helpless to boot. Besides which, the fur and gristle would get stuck between my teeth, and be the very devil to get out... Anywhoo, moving swiftly on to the purpose of this write up today...did you know that these super-soft confectionery ...  Read the complete review

I really like both marshmallows and Haribo so when Haribo bought out their own brand of marshmallows called Chamallows. I have no idea why they chose this name, it seems kind of weird to me but oh well. They come in a purple plastic packet with a clear bit in the middle so that you can see through to the pink and white marshmallows inside. Haribo is written at the top in pink and Chamallows is written at the bottom in white. On the back are the ingredients and all the necessary nutritional information. Each 175g packet costs £1.20 which is a lot more expensive than supermarkets own version but then again they are Haribo so I expected them to be ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Haribo Chamallows: Little clouds of sweetness (251 words)
by - written on 18/06/09 (Very useful, 27 readings)
Rating:

These are lovely foamy marshmallows, that taste amazing. They are not sickly sweet, but are sweet enough and have a lovely soft coating which is a bonus. I hate the cheap marshmallows from other shops/brands that have too much icing sugar on the outside that dries them out and causes the outer layer to get a weird cracked skin that does not give a great texture in your mouth - this is definitely not the case with these sweets. There is a lovely satiny outside, but when you bite into them, they give you a lovely silky, sticky, light, gooey surprise. They come in two colours, white and pink, but both taste the same.
