Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: They taste nasty

I am quite a fan or marshmallows whether eaten on their own or melted and dipped in chocolate like in the old days but normally when I had a a hankering for marshmallows it would be the Princess pink and white marshmallows in the blue bag I would buy. But today in Poundland I saw these and thought well for a £1 why not.

I have seen them in both formats, in the bag as above and in the way I got them, in a plastic tub. There is 225g in this tub. The tub is just see-through with a snap-off lid. There are 344 per 100g. I suppose it would be handy for parties or for taking to the cinema or something and the tub might be handy for storage after. Inside the marshmallows are all different shapes; cylinders, twisters and swirls and the colours used are varied including yellow, pink, green and blue. It does look aesthetically pleasing and would definitley attract children I think.

However it goes down-hill from here. All they taste of to me is huge amounts of sugar mixed with chemicals. I mean I have actually eaten sugar cubes on their own before so though it sounds odd to say it, these actually taste even sicklier than that. The taste stays in your mouth too. They pull apart in the same way normal marshamllows do but they have coated them in this powdery rubbish that totally overwhelms any other taste that exists. You can get an idea of what it tastes like by smelling it in fact. It just feels like I am eating foam or something. These are so artificial that if you did give them to a child they would probably have no teeth left by their next visit to the dentist.

They're horrible and that's from someone with a very very sweet tooth. Not recommended even at the bargain price of a £1. Stick with the Princess variety.

Summary: No no no
