Advantages: Tasty and thick.

Disadvantages: Got to be in the mood for them

I'm a huge lover of Starmix and one of my favourites in the pack is the cola bottles so I was pretty happy when I saw that Haribo had brought out a bag totally devoted to the best cola bottles I have ever tasted. They bring back great memories of being a little girl and going down our local shop to pick up twenty penny sweets with my 20p pocket money. I would always buy twenty penny sweets because that meant I got the most out of my money. In that twenty pence about half of them would be these cola bottles. I am ashamed to admit that as I got older I realised that the woman in the shop never checked how much was in my bag; she trusted me because she was my neighbour, so I would put tonnes more sweets in. My heart would be pounding and I'd be sweating worrying that she woud one day pour out the contents of the bag and cotton on to what I was doing. Looking back now she probably knew what I was up to because the bag would be bulging and I only used to give her twenty pence to pay for it all. She probably didn't really care because the guy who owned the shop was a bit of an idiot and I'm pretty sure she was shafting him to by stealing stuff. There I said and I feel glad that I got it off my chest! I've been holding that secret for years! Any way back to the cola bottles.........

There are a lot of cola bottles in the bag, around thirty or more. If you squeeze the bag then they slide along and leave a film on the inside of the packet. When you rip open the top the smell is pretty strong. To me it smells exactly like a bottle of cheap coke.

The bottles are pretty thick and much better quality than the ones I used to buy. They are white and brown in colour and very squashy. When you put one in your mouth it feels quite soft and slimy on your tongue. They also take quite a lot of 'Bite' to actually break the thing apart. Sometimes I like to put the whole thing in my mouth whereas other times I like to do what I did as a kid; bite off the top and pretend to drink the inside. I know it's sad but don't pretend that you've never done it!

The bottles taste exactly how they smell which is like cheap, flat cola. They are nice and sweet and I can never stop at just one or two. If I start a bag then more often than not I will finish it and they usually go quite quickly. If I don't wat them to dissapear within seconds the I will sometimes suck them until they dissolve but this takes some doing because once I get one in my mouth I can't resist chewing.

The only bad thing about these is that they are all the same which is of course obvious so I really have to be in the mood for them. If I'm not in the mood for just them then I will get Starburst. Over all though the quality of these bottles are probably the best I've had (and I've tried them all lol!).

Summary: A great quality cola bottle.
