When I was a kid, you never heard of Haribo at all - they're a recent phenonemon it would seem or at least they are in this country but they are now the market leader in children's confectionary believe it or not. Being a self-confessed fan of the 'Starmix' I thought I'd tell you a little more about them for my latest op (3p a read in the process !!) - heres the results ; The man who founded the company Haribo was German and his name was Hans Riegel - this all happened in Bonn, a major city in Germany in 1920. HA (Hans) RI (Riegel) BO (Bonn) started as a very small scale sweets manufacturer and initially specialised in boiled sweets. Things ... Read the complete review

I love to eat sweets and I know they are really bad for your teeth but sometimes I just have the urge to eat them. If I had the choice of all the sweets in the world and I could only pick one kind then I would definitely pick Haribo Tangfastics Sour Mix. They are my favourite and I do try and avoid buying them because once I open a packet I just want to eat them all. The most recent time I bought them was when I was shopping in Farmfoods, they had a 175g bag for just 75p. Priced 75p a bag is really cheap and other supermarkets they seem to sell them at a much higher price than that. You can also buy them in little kid size bags and they cost about 10p to ... Haribo has a great way of thinking in that we all remember those sweets we grew up with back when we used to get the penny mixes but with that rare nowadays (thanks to the major big names taking away those little independant retailers we all loved) surely there is a gap in the market. Haribo has decided to finally step upto the plate and offer us those old classics and try to come up with quality goods but have they managed? Haribo Tangfastics are mainly gummy sweets ... These are my favourite of all the Haribo products. I'm not really sure why, but I think it has something to do with the variety of flavours and shapes that you get, mixed with the different sourness that each sweet provides. Like other haribo products, Tangfastics Sour mix are generally soled in bags of around 200g, and are priced at £1.50rrp, but are often available in Supermarkets for much less. The cheapest I've seen them was at 50p a bag in Asda. They are easy to spot because of the bright orange packaging. They are also available in smaller bags, where the sweets are mini versions of the originals. You probably get around 10mini sweets in each ... Read the complete review
