Andrew is a sucker for dolly mixtures and although they are definitely not something that I would spend out on, I do enjoy having a few handfuls of his much to his annoyance. Since Haribo are the king s of making sweets, you wouldn't be wrong in thinking that these are going to be really good. I find that most of the Haribo selection are of excellent quality apart from the odd few and these were no exception. The bag is brimming with lots of different colours and shapes which are so appealing to a childish person like me. These are no different to any other dolly mixture that you would find with the jellied, dome shaped sweets, the blocks of layered ... Read the complete review

I just fancied some sweets today so stopped off at the shop on my way home from visiting my daughter, there was nothing that really appealed to me so I grabbed the one branded product that I recognised - Haribo Dolly Mixtures. I thought I'd be in for a treat as Haribo sweets are absolutely delightful as a rule, although unfortunately it appears that Haribo haven't put quite so much thought into these sweets than the rest of their rather delicious range. The Dolly Mixture sweets themselve appear just as any other brand of Dolly Mixtures would; you've got the small chewy dual colour cubes, pure jelly sweets, circular coloured rolls and those delicious ... As some of you may know from reading my other reviews, I am normally a very big fan of the Haribo brand, kids and adults love them! as the saying goes. But this is one product that i for one do not love. Dolly Mixtures are great, a lovely sweet that I used to eat loads as a kid but these just aren't right. Haribo normally has the perfect recipie for it's sweets but I find that there is something not quite right about these ones in particular and I would highly reccomend you buy a Tesco's own pack at 38p (a lot cheaper) that taste perfect, a hundred times better than the Haribo ones. They come in a purple packet containing 250g of Dolly Mixture's for about ... Read the complete review

I am a big fan of sweets and Dolly Mixtures are one of my personal favourites. They are very sweet hi in sugar, and are almost like fondant shapes with different colours either square shaped or little cylinders. Although I love Dolly Mixtures I would not recommend the Haribo ones, the flavouring tastes too unatural and they are too squishy. I personally prefer them with a slightly harder texture (still soft, but these are almost gooey). The Haribo dolly mixtures also do not have jelly sweets in them which is a let down. They are not value for money at £1 odd a bag too. Supermarket own brand Dolly mixtures are far better value for money, with ... Read the complete review
