Beetroot is probably one of the most unfairly maligned vegetables out there. Maybe it sits there just behind boiled cabbage in the yukk stakes. I think it is probably fair to say that in the case of beetroot, it is largely because most peoples experience of beetroot, is of beetroot slices packed into jars filled with an overly harsh sinus ripping, vile, malt vinegar. Thankully, this is a million miles away from the reality of how beetroot should taste. Heinz Baby Beetroot is a fabulous product, well worth buying. Heinz are a company who are renowned for making quality sauces, mainly ketchup and easy to cook foods; baked beans and spaghetti hoops. I like most of their products and therefore trust the things that they sell as they always seem to be of a really good quality. Beetroot is one of my favourite foods, especially at this time of year. I like to grow my own but sometimes there just aren't enough of these to last all summer so I have to buy some.
