Advantages: Quick and easy to make, good for 1 person

Disadvantages: Exensive

Everyone who has heard of Heinz, will associate them with one thing - beans! The famous advert 'Heinz Meanz Beanz' has been hammered into us through our TVs for many years, and to be honest, Heinz are the kings of the bean - I've really never tasted any that are better!

Heinz is a long-running company, and has been supplying us with our tins of beans for many years. So, in order to bring themselves into the 21st Century, they have introduced something new - the Heinz Beanz Snap Pots.

So, what's different about these beans to the old-fashioned tinned ones? Well... erm... nothing! The beans are the exact same quality, still in that lovely thick tomato sauce, with a great texture, and slightly tangy taste.

The only difference is the obvious one - the packaging. The 'snap pots' come in a pack f 4, and each little pot snaps off (hence the name!) to allow one single portion of beans to be made at one time.
One portion is around half a normal sized tin I believe, and they are cooked by just popping them in the microwave.

We bought these and made the mistake of thinking that, as they looked so small on the outside, we'd need two each - definately not! One little pot will more than do one person - even with only toast as a meal. I think two could probably share one pot if they were just going on the side of a main meal.

These are also really handy for taking as packed lunches etc if you have a toaster and microwave in work, it's a nice, quick and easy lunch to make, and much better than having to take a whole tin of beans in with you, plus something to cook in!

Although these little tubs are handy, I find it difficult to justify paying so much more for them. A pack of 4 will cost you around £1.40-£1.60 - as the amount you receive only equates to two full tins of beans, this is quite a big difference. However, good if you eat alone and would waste half a tin each time, or as mentioned before, if you can take them to work with you.

Overall, a nice little modern idea, but a bit too expensive for me!

Summary: Still the same beans, just a little more expensive!
