Heinz Chicken Noodle Soup

... and it does taste of chicken. The noodles are soft and pliable and taste fine, if not a little bland, but then noodles do lack flavour. The ingredients all compliment each other, though it could have done with more spices to lift the flavour further. As a quick snack is great, but it lacks finesse and comes across as a slightly better version of a Pot Noodle! Price wise, expect to pay around fifty to seventy pence, a nice winter soup, but not the best one in the Heinz range....more

Here is an interesting comparison, last week I had a takeaway and had a Chinese chicken noodle soup, then three days later I purchased the Heinz tinned soup. Which one came out on top? Well, I am sorry to say that the Chinese one had the edge in terms of flavour, definitely more spices and a better quality noodles, but then it was also a few pounds more expensive. The Heinz soup I bought in Tesco, as part of a buy four for two quid offer, which seemed quite generous. I had not tried the chicken noodle soup before, so was not sure what to expect. As with all their other soups, the premise is simple enough. Packaged in a red tin with a ring pull, you simply ...  Read the complete review

Heinz Chicken Noodle Soup Description: Manufacturer: Heinz / Type: Soups I am always looking for quick, convenient and tasty lunches and that very often means soup. Recently, Tesco were offering a special deal on Heinz soups, whereby you bought 2 400g tins for just £1. We bought heaps and stocked the cupboard with them, which means that each day, I only have to grab a tin and some bread and take it to work. The soup comes in a bright red tin which is easy to spot on shelves with the Heinz logo on the front. You can buy them in most shops and supermarkets and expect to pay around £0.65 for a 400g tin. They can also be ...  Read the complete review

For many years Heinz Soups have been the leaders of soup manufacture, top of their game, the crem de la crem, and all that cal. In recent years the market has been barraged by a plethora of soups of all different flavours and consistencies, but even so I find that Heinz remains a brand that can be trusted with a generally high and consistent standard, especially evident in their Chicken Noodle Soup. A classic 'ooooh I'm so bitterly poorly, better take the duvet down to the sofa and be made a fuss of (I am a man, honestly ; P) kind of soup. A thin but not watery consistancy (my favourite type) with small shreds of chicken, soft white noodles (which ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Chicken gravy and noodles (404 words)

Second only to my Mums' leek and tomato soup, comes the Heinz version of chicken and noodle. The first time I actually tasted this concoction (?) was way back in a cafe when I was quite young. I've tasted many but I've never found one which came close to those flavours. So far, the Heinz variety has come top. Granted it doesn't look all that appetising when you get it in your bowl. In fact to me it's like looking at a very watery gravy which you might get out of those gravy granuals tubs. It's like a pale browny colour with floating bits of chicken and white strands of noodles at the bottom. In the tins that we've been buying there is also little pieces ...  Read the complete review

After reading a review of this by xxfoxy-redxx - check her out she's a great writer! I dug my own tin of this out the cupboard and ate it this afternoon. It's not that I don't like Soup, but it's not a favourite thing of mine. I will never eat Soup in a Restaurant, as I always think there is more exciting things to eat! However being back on my diet after being off it a week, I was feeling hungry this afternoon and it was the time after lunch but too early for tea, so I had this! This normally sells for about 70p per 400g can, but I bought a few different flavours when Asda was selling 2 tins for £1 a couple of months ago. The packaging is alright. ...  Read the complete review
