No matter what you do, or how good a cook you are, you cannot make tomato soup like Heinz does. No other brand of this tastes the same either. It is made to a special recipe that has been kept secret for many years.

I am a self confessed tomato soup addict and I have tried supermarket own brands as well as other branded tomato soups.

In my opinion nothing compares to this product.

A 400 gram tin of this soup is enough for one large, or two reasonably sized servings. I usually eat a whole tin to myself.

It is simple to prepare in the microwave, or in a pan on the cooker. The ring pull top even makes it easy to open.

I actually think it tastes better heated in a pan on the cooker, although that is probably just me. This soup should be hot, but not boiling, as boiling it makes it go thin and ruins the taste.

This fully flavoured product needs no additions as it is perfectly seasoned and tastes just right as it is, with out being too sweet, or too acidic.

The colour is quite distinctive and I have never found another tomato soup that is the same slightly orange, red colour.

The only problem I have with this product is that it stains if you spill it on lightly coloured fabrics. I have ruined more than one white cotton top with it.

Small children can end up in quite a mess unless you protect their clothing from it.

Nothing compares to Heinz for tomato soup and even at 85p it is still worth buying.

Summary: No other tomato soup can compares to Heinz for flavour and appearance.
