Heinz - Cream of Tomato Soup
=======================
A food that takes longer to eat than to cook / heat it.
Packaging:
=======
You're kidding right? Everybody will instantly recognise the bright red tin with its distinctive black label. Which comes in a handy palm sized tin with the now obligatory ring pull. Easy to open and completely recyclable.
There is always a tin somewhere in the kitchen cupboard. Although the price does seem to have rocketed lately 85p when I remember it being 30p. The supermarket cutting the prices on the luxuries and upping the cost of the basic foods!
It should easily serve 2 and will actually leave you feeling full afterward.
Cooking:
=====
On the hob, on a low heat and cooked slowly for 5 minutes or in the microwave, not my favourite way, for 90 seconds. Remember, it keeps cooking for a minute after you take it out.
Can be very hot sometime and I have to admit soup is one of those things I stupidly and repeatedly burn my mouth on.
Try it with great big torn chunks of crusty bread. Or smaller bits and feed the ducks as we call it, drop them in and then spoon out the bloated pieces of bread. Or really send the taste to another level by adding some Parmesan.
Ingredients:
========
Per 400g Tin
220 Calories
8.0g Fat
1.6g Salt
84% Tomatoes!
Water

Heinz also make several other varieties such as:

Minestrone,
Scotch broth,
Chicken Noodle,
And Mulligatawny.
And a dozen other soup under slightly different branding.
Opinions:
======
One of those food stuffs that I only have on the odd occasion. It does have that rich Tomatoe taste and that is its redeeming quality.
Best eaten on a long night shift when you want something hot but not too filling. I have it with dry toast cut into soldiers, delish.
It has a true creamy consistency and that bright Orangey Red eye catching colour.
Worth the money and worth eating. Healthy, tasty and good value.
Recommended.
Greg.
Summary: A good tasty meal
