This was one of Tesco's rather bizarre online substitutions but rather than send it back I decided to keep this Roasted Garlic Heinz Deli Mayo as I was intrigued as to why Tesco would deem this a sensible substitution for the Hellman's Light Squeezy Mayo I'd originally ordered! It's very tasty, it's basically a mayonnaise flavour but this has been infused with a delicious blend of garlic. It's not harsh in any way although I can certainly taste the garlic in it, and my daughter commented that she could smell I'd been eating it too so I'd advise you to not eat this before an important meeting! It has a fairly sweet flavour which goes beautifully ... Read the complete review

When I saw this on the shelves of Tesco, I was looking for ordinary light mayo but somehow it managed to join my intended purchase in the trolley - no way to explain it other than the fact that I have very little willpower! In the main, it seemed to me like the kind of yummy meal accompaniment that you get in restaurants (I'm thinking of the kind of thing you dip your breaded mushrooms etc into) and that you never quite can replicate at home without a great deal of messing about with egg yolks. Not having any breaded mushrooms on hand that evening, I decided to try it out with some curly fries and it tasted absolutely gorgeous that I didn't want to ... Read the complete review

I am a garlic lover, it goes into pretty much every dish I cook, especially Italian dishes - it would not be an italian dish without garlic anyway. I also love garlic dips and sauces - for example, the garlic dip from Dominos is delicious on pizza! I used to buy the Heinz garlic and chive table sauce, but when I spied this condiment I knew I had to try it. It is very good and it does exactly what it says on the tin - taste of garlic! It is basically a garlic flavoured mayonaisse. Thankfully the garlic smell is not really overpowering or too tangy to the taste, but you could not mistake the garlic taste. It is also not a very bitter garlic taste, ... Read the complete review

I actually went to buy some of this from my local supermarket at Christmas and I actually got quite excited as I really love garlic mayonnaise. So one friday evening I decided to do some fried mushrooms in breadcrumbs to have with my Heinz garlic mayonnaise. Before having my mushrooms I tried just a little bit and wasn't quite sure about it, so decided to make a little of my own garlic mayonnaise (Morrisons own mayo with a cuple of cloves of crushed garlic) so that I could compare the two. I have to say that my own garlic mayonnaise was much much nicer than this Heinz stuff, as it tasted so much fresher. Despite smelling quite nice, the Heinz stuff ... Read the complete review

Seeing this look all fancy on the Supermarket shelf, I had to give this a go. Yes, it is more expensive than other versions of Mayo, but this sound much grander anyway. There is a few in the Heinz Deli Mayo range, but this is the only 1 i've tried so far. I like Garlic and if I make Bolognaise I have to have Onion and Garlic in the Sauce, so it is because of the Garlic that I chose this one. I think this normally retails for around £1.60 for a 500g jar, but this was on Rollback in Asda the other month for £1.20. I like the look of the Jar this in in. It is sort of shaped like a Pasta Sauce Jar. It is kinda thick and a bit wide and not all ... Read the complete review
