Advantages: Delicious and versatile

Disadvantages: High in fat

This was one of Tesco's rather bizarre online substitutions but rather than send it back I decided to keep this Roasted Garlic Heinz Deli Mayo as I was intrigued as to why Tesco would deem this a sensible substitution for the Hellman's Light Squeezy Mayo I'd originally ordered!

It's very tasty, it's basically a mayonnaise flavour but this has been infused with a delicious blend of garlic. It's not harsh in any way although I can certainly taste the garlic in it, and my daughter commented that she could smell I'd been eating it too so I'd advise you to not eat this before an important meeting!

It has a fairly sweet flavour which goes beautifully with the overall mayonnaise, it's rich and creamy with such a tasty tang to it that I found it extremely moreish.

I've since tried it on everything; in jacket potato, with chips, spread on a chicken breast, mixed in with some prawns, dolloped on salad, honestly it complimented everything I tried it on extremely well. I gave my granddaughters' some to try and they loved it too, in fact the ten year old enjoyed it so much that she asked her mum to buy a jar that same day!

My favourite way to use this mayo is as a dip, I'm currently dieting so the high fat content has to be counteracted by dipping in raw carrots and broccoli florets. It doesn't taste greasy at all but mayonnaise in general is notoriously bad for dieters (unless you use Hellman's Light, like me) so the oil is obviously hidden underneath the creaminess of this one.

Unfortunately I can't help you with the nutritional information as I threw my jar out yesterday but I remember the details were clearly labelled on the back of the jar, just have a look in the supermarket before tossing a jar into your trolley. Having had a look on the Tesco website this costs £1.45 which is reasonable for such a tasty treat, although I still fail to see the correlation between this and Hellman's Mayo!

Summary: A delicious alternative to plain mayo, if your waistline can stand it!

It sounds delicious, but having looked at the label in Morrisons once I found the fat content was too scary for me.
