Then serve and enjoy! The first thing that you will notice is how creamy this sauce is (you expect it to contain more calories than it does) and it smells delicious too. The pasta is really soft (and not al dente or firm to bite) which doesn't sound good but is actually delicious. The dish tastes really creamy, and indulgent and the amo...more

Heinz Macaroni Cheese Description: Tinned pasta and cheese dish. This product has been around for years and is easily recognisable by the bright yellow tin that it comes in. It has a green label on the front with the Heinz logo and a picture of the macaroni on it. You can buy this product in loads of shops and supermarkets. You can buy 200g and 400g tins, expect to pay around £0.60 for 2oog and 0.90 for 400g. Though it might not seem a lot when you put it on the plate, eaten with bread or toast, one 400g tin will serve 2 because it quite filling. To cook, either heat gently in a pan or pop in a microwave dish and warm for ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Convenient Pasta In A Tin!! (333 words)

More often than not I have lazy moments where I just cannot be bothered to cook .. instead I like to grab a ready meal from the freezer or a tin of something or other stashed in the back of my cupboard. I usually opt for a tin of soup but I noticed a tin of Macaroni Cheese the other day so ate that for a change. Heinz Macaroni Cheese can, of course, be found in the tin aisles along with spaghetti, beans etc. Macaroni Cheese comes in the bright yellow and green tin clearly telling us on the front it's Heinz Macaroni Cheese. It also tells us on the front that the tin is Low in Sugar and Low in Fat .. promising seeing as I'm cutting down on foods and portion ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Heinz Macaroni Cheese: Excellent comfort food - just don't expect Michelin star-sty ... (507 words)

As far as convenient comfort food goes, Heinz Macaroni cheese pretty much fits the bill. Available in a 200g or 400g tin, you basically just pull the ring to open the tin and heat in the microwave or in a pan on the hob and off you go. I go for the 400g version, as I usually eat this on its own or with a couple of slices of toast - at most. Okay, I'm a bit greedier than most, but the 200g tin is a tad small unless you only need a tiny bit.... The pasta is just the right texture, not al dente at all (is Macaroni ever supposed to be al dente?) but not soggy. The right balance, in my opinion. It comes with a yellow, creamy sauce, which, again, is a good ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review It's macaroni cheese time. (680 words)

I haven't had Macaroni Cheese in ages, and when I was recently out shopping I spotted this on the shelves, so picked a tin of Heinz Macaroni Cheese up. For a 400g tin you will expect to pay around £0.89p. Certainly not cheap, but hey, I'm getting a review out of it - and a full belly! And it' s not one of those things I buy on a regular basis. (My Gran makes a gorgeous Macaroni Cheese!). PACKAGING ~~~~~~~~ The tin is unmistakeable. It comes in a bright yellow tin with the famous Heinz name on the front with Macaroni Cheese in a green background. It says on the front of the tin that it is 'now low in fat'. On the back of the tin are ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Heinz Macaroni Cheese: Tasty Fast Food That's Healthy (379 words)

Heinz Macaroni Cheese is without doubt the best quality. I have tried several brands of tinned Macaroni Cheese including Tesco, Asda and Buitoni but none of them have the same flavour in the cheese sauce. The Heinz version is very rich and satisfying when you are in a hurry. A 400g tin costs around 80p although I have just bought 3 for £2 at Tesco. For that money you get 400g of macaroni cheese in a ring pull can. The can itself is yellow and green the same as all Heinz pasta meals and it has white and gold writing on the front. This product is low sugar at 1.5g per hundred grams and low fat at 2.8g for the same amount. It does contain ...  Read the complete review
