Continuing my theme this week of wanting comfort food I decided today that I would have a Jacket Potato with Cheese and Beans. I wanted a change from regular beans though so a few days ago I had already picked up these Heinz "Mean Beanz" in a Smokey BBQ sauce and saved them for today's Potato. Coming in the can as illustrated above so no need to describe they are regular Heinz beans but have added "tang" and the can tells you that these "assault your tastebuds". Costing 41p for a 390 gram can they are slightly more expensive than regular beans but I decided they were worth the extra for the added flavour as I am quite partial to ... Read the complete review

I was in Tescos last week looking for a can of baked beans for that simple snack/meal beans on toast. Whilst I would normally buy a multipack of baked beans, I decided on making an impulse buy of Mean Beanz - Smokey BBQ flavour. I have used the Mexican variety of these beans for Chilli con carne which works well, and had high hopes for these beans - I wasn't disappointed. Packaging: The beans are contained wthin a standard tin can, but the mostly black paper label has a wild west theme which the Heinz Mean Beanz - Smokey BBQ description looking like a "wanted" poster. The label also has a picture of the beans with potato wedges and sour cream which ... Read the complete review

My experience with these beans started when my slimming world journey started and I became aware that these beans are free on the green plan. Normally I add a tablespoon of brown sauce to my beans but having to use my precious syns on this had me cursing so I decided to buy a tin of these at my next shop. The first thing I noticed was the brilliant and clever packaging. The tin is designed to look like a wanted poster as the beans are 'mean' and there is a picture of a sheriff bean in a badge and hat on the tin. The ... Read the complete review

I absolutely adore my baked beans & could happily eat them as part of every meal. I normally tend to stick to Heinz or Branston beans rather than the supermarket own brands as I feel the price premium is worth it. Recently in my local Sainsbury's, I saw a selection of flavoured beans from Heinz & decided to purchase two tins of the Smokey BBQ variety. Each can costs just under 70p so isn't cheap as far as baked beans go, also there was no option to buy them as a multipack. However after finally trying them, I can tell you that they were worth every penny. They are like your average can of Heinz beans with an added bonus twist. The extra ... Read the complete review
